Plants for a keen gardener

I did a planting plan for a Christmas present for a keen gardener, with the help of her husband, who took photographs of the garden and told me what he believed she wanted. This was an interesting assignment: I had to fit in plants around what they wanted to keep, retain the colour scheme for each bed and provide as much year-round colour as possible. I also fitted in a tree and other plants to make the nearby buildings less intrusive.
